The 2022 UNLV Summer Code Camp is a half-day summer program held for 5 days from Monday, June 27th, 2022 to Friday, July 1st, 2022 for girls who are interested in learning how to code. This program is sponsored by the College of Sciences and the Center for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education at UNLV, with funding from the National Science Foundation. The program is intended to introduce coding to girls at an early age, expose them to diverse applications of software in Biology and Science, and support and increase the number of women in computer science related fields.
We are planning on building a visual animated game that will introduce girls to the concept of evolution, while exposing them to hands on software design.
